Rice Up interviewed on local radio

Local station Radio Solent have been discussing the issue of animal farming, and wanted to hear our ideas about the benefits of meat-free diets and the tastiness of veggie and vegan foods. Of course, we like to seize every opportunity to talk about great food, so we welcomed their crew into the shop this morning so they could record an interview with one of our members.

The interview was broadcast this morning, ahead of the screening of the BBC Horizon programme “Should I eat meat?” Click here to listen to the Radio Solent interview - the piece takes place about 23 minutes into the programme, and is available to ‘listen again’ until 25th August.

Horizon: “Should I Eat Meat – The Big Health Dilemma” is to be screened on BBC Two tonight (18th August) at 9 pm, and will be taking an in-depth look at the health problems associated with meat consumption.
