The Grand Opening
At 11 o’clock on 6th July 2013, the ribbon is cut and Rice Up Wholefoods opens to the public for the first time. Southampton finally has it’s very own, independent wholefood shop. And, the crowds were there to experience it!

Thank you to all those who helped with our Grand Opening. We had suppliers giving away samples, local musicians and artists, and an excellent speech by Rose Elliot.

And, finally, we got to do what we dreamed of all along: providing healthy, ethical food and products to our wonderful customers, and creating an altogether different shopping experience in Southampton. Thank you to all our friends, families and volunteers who supported us and worked so hard to make this dream a reality.
